Giles was born in 2007 and is an avid birdwatcher and photographer of the natural world.
He saved up for and purchased his first bridge camera, a Panasonic FZ72 in August 2016 and is self-taught.
Following the success of the 2018 calendar, he began selling prints and, along with savings and some paid photography work, he purchased an Olympus super lightweight mirrorless camera in May 2018.
He also has Autism, Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and a platelet function defect.
He was awarded Young Achiever of the Year in the Herts Advertiser Community Awards 2018 in recognition for his work for charity and determination in showing what children with medical conditions can do.
Thank you to absolutely everyone of you who purchased a calendar (or two, or three) for 2019. Giles funded a new handcycle for the Bucks Disability Hub and won his school fundraising award too.
If you'd like to know more about the project or can offer Giles the chance to take more photographs, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org - we'd especially love to hear from anyone who can help him with disability friendly cameras or venues
